O God, Creator of all seasons and cycles, we thank you for the beauty of freshly fallen snow.
As we see the world hushed and made new again under its blanket of white, evoke in us the joy of childhood and the wonder of your creation.
Fill our hearts with gratitude for this sign of rest for the earth and with patience for the new pace of winter.
We pray for those whose journeys are made more difficult by the change in weather and for all who are especially vulnerable to the cold.
Guard and guide our community in the season ahead, and keep us mindful of your ever-present love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
