The Athabasca Deanery Chapter gathered this year (May 30, 2026) in a spirit of fellowship and shared ministry, graciously hosted by All Saints Anglican Church in Athabasca, whose warm hospitality and generous meals were deeply appreciated.
We are especially grateful to Pat for the abundant and thoughtful preparation of food that helped create an atmosphere of welcome and communion.
Retired Professor Jane Jacques guided us in a rich and prayerful Bible conversation, helping us to converse attentively with the Scriptures and with one another. Each parish had the opportunity to share its joys, struggles, experiences, and pastoral challenges, strengthening our sense of mutual support across the Daenerys.
Together, we prayed the Little Hours, allowing the rhythm of prayer to shape our gathering and remind us that our shared ministry is grounded in continual dependence upon God.
We also received important updates regarding the upcoming Diocesan Synod, the Diocesan Family Camp, and the continuing work of Alongside Hope, as we seek to serve faithfully within our wider diocesan and global partnerships.
The meeting concluded with renewed encouragement, unity, and gratitude for the shared calling we hold as Christ’s Church in this region.
