The Diocese of Athabasca is governed by several documents, which make up the Diocesan Handbook. The links below will take you to each of the documents. The Diocese was incorporated by a statute of the Alberta Legislative Assembly in 1914. The Constitution, Canons and Regulations were completely revamped in 1994. The information contained within these documents govern the day to day administrative function of the Diocese, Diocesan Executive Council, parishes and churches. Parish wardens, treasurers and clergy are advised to be familiar with these documents and/or have their own physical copy of the handbook in their possession.
